Evergreedy~Bag
of Tricks!

Their sharp needles stay green and never fall...and then there's that unmistakeable piney scent. No wonder evergreen trees are healing trees. Essential oil of pine is said to have restorative properties, and folks used to hang evergreen branches in their houses when someone was sick to ward off disease.
You don't need much--just your needles, (be careful when handling them--they don't call 'em needles for nothing!), some green fabric and white ribbon. Green represents the earth, healing, and of course, the Yule tree, and white emphasizes the purity of our intentions--and you can't get much purer than wanting to heal.

Cut your fabric into 9 inch by 9 inch squares. The number three is special to--that's right, the Goddess (3 times 3 is 9). Place the squares on a table. The fabric should be right side down if you're using cloth with a pattern.
Place a few finger-fulls of needles in the center of each square. You may find that they've dried out--they are 9 (no coincidence there!) months old! You can add a few drops of essential oil of pine to them if you wish. Use ANY essential oil with care as it might irritate your skin (give you a rash).
Work with one square at a time. Take up the corners so that the fabric holds the needles like a little bag.
Tie your ribbon around the "neck" of the bag that you formed with the fabric, knotting it--you guessed it! Three times.
Your sachets are now ready to use. You can give them as gifts to family and friends who are in need of a little healing. You may also want to think about tying one onto a Mabon Corn Dollie. Mabon? Corn Dollie? What are those? Find out by visiting Spellworx and Wicc'ed Ways!
