Hi! I'm Mari, the Wicc'ed (not "wicked"--although that might be fun!) Witchling! I'll be reporting here on everything from food, to homework, magic and... everything! Just to let you know--this column is written by a REAL kid--me! The rest of Broomstix is done by adults. It's good, but what do they know? We should have something from our point of view.

I saw the movie Coraline when we had off for President's Day. It was amazing! Maybe it was the Junior Mints I was eating that made my spine ripple when Coraline was in the mirror room with the ghost children--but I doubt it. This movie was creepy, fun and adventurous.

I think I would've been a good character for the movie. But maybe I better lose the wig...

I would have to say that my favorite character was the cat. There was one part that changed--the character Wybie. He wasn't in the book, and I didn't like him much. Before you go see this movie, you MUST read the book or you won't know what's going on. And while you're at it, read my other favorite book by Neil Gaiman, "M Is For Magic." This isn't a chapter book--it's a bunch of short stories. My favorite is "October in the Chair"--hint!!!
