Here are our contest winners!

Alex, age 9 send us this great picture of his Mabon fire ceremony. You can see the sacred fire, his dad's blue drum and his mother's ritual rattle.
Here's what Brianna, age 15 wrote to us about Beltane:
Hello my name is Brianna. I am 15 years old and was brought up in the craft since I was a little girl. My mother is a high priestess and my father is a high priest and we celebrate every sabbat with pride. I am now currently on my year and a day (soon to be done), and while exploring the craft and celebrating the Sabbats I have learned that each Sabbat is very special in many ways to me. It is hard to pick a favorite Sabbat when each one is every important and unique, I would have to say that Beltane would be my favorite Sabbat for many reasons. My family is friends with Wiccans that we also consider our family that are going through their year and a day. We will all go out camping as a family to a Wiccan camp ground, and we will sing and dance. It is nice to know other kids that have the same beliefs as I do and feel the way I feel. Beltane shows the Divine union of our Lord and Lady and when they come together with love. We get involved in the ritual with everyone and the maypole. The main reason that Beltane is my favorite Sabbat is that it is a time to show compassion to everyone, and show them that you care and you are thinking about them. That is an imporant rule in life--to let the people in my life know that I am there for them and thinking of them. That is why Beltane is my favorite.
And Mathias, age 12 had this to say about Yule:
Yule is my favorite Sabbat because it thrives on the purpose of rebirth, which I believe happens every year. Yule is the leaving of the Holly King and the coming of the Oak King. To celebrate Yule, we light a giant candle, representing a Yule log and light it. We will also light a bonfire and have a drum circle on the night of Yule. I like Yule because it celebrates the cycle of rebirth. Our bodies may die, but our spirits, or souls, will live on to find another body. The same exists for the Sun King, or Holly and Oak Kings.
Thanks Alex, Brianna and Mathias for sharing!
